The best Tah-Deeg and khoresh. The portion is so big and the khoresh is delicious. We also ordered the king's choice: kubideh, barg and chicken with an extra skewer of kubideh. This was a lot of food and we left totally satisfied and some to take with us. The dining room has a musty odor but the good food makes up for it. Wait staff is friendly and helpful. Overall great experience
My FIL is from Iran and was visiting from the East Coast, so we wanted to take him to an authentic Persian meal. I don't know much about Persian food, but my FIL loved it! He said it was very authentic and reminded him of home. Personally, I got the chicken skewer with saffron rice with pomegranates seeds. The chicken was really moist and well seasoned. We also got tadiq (crispy rice) and babaganoush. The babaganoush was garlicky and excellent! Possibly the best I ever had. The tadiq was ok. Very crispy but tasted kind of like popcorn. All.of the portions were extremely generous.
What a feast and fun experience I had here in this nice friendly restaurant! My friend and her husband invited me and my husband here to celebrate my friend's good recovery from her recent surgery. My husband is a half Lebanese so we go Lebanese food quite often (we live on East side) but this was our first time for Persian/Iranian cuisine near UW district. And my culinary experience here was outstanding! The meat feast I had : Lamb Rack, Chicken tenderloin and Koobideh, they were all delicious, meats were prepared very well with right amount of spices, so tender and cooked perfect (not too raw or overly done, just so perfect). Oh the first appetizers hummus and shirazi salad were also delicious, you wrapped with Thai basil/fresh onion in thin flat bread. I just had to be careful not filling too much before the main came. And meal completed with sweet delicacy baklava and house made saffron ice cream, so yummy! But there seems so many other authentic Persian dishes available on the menu so I must come back here soon to try them all. But what I was most impressed here was... the warm and friendly atmosphere with the great service. They bring the dishes with sweet smile and checking how you like, and they were so happy to know we loved all their dishes. This place is a gem!
I knew I had to come here when multiple people from Iran had recommended it to me. And I was not disappointed! Before we got our food, they gave us some bread, butter, basil, and raw onion. The kashk-e-bademjan was so light and appetizing! Even if you don't normally like eggplant, give it a chance, it might change your mind! The tadig is a must, the fesenjan had a sweet and sour flavor from the pomegranate but it really worked! The vaziri was nice because we got to try two kinds of kebabs, both of which were seasoned and cooked perfectly! They were way to bite into, not too tough. The portion sizes are generous, this was plenty for 3 adults! The service staff were also very kind, always checking in on us! Food came pretty quickly too. The atmosphere is also nice, they have small tables if you want to eat alone or a big table which is more communal. You also get to enjoy some Persian pop music :)
The culinary experience was impressive. The owner's humility and kindness shone through as he personally attended to each table. The young woman assisting him was equally dedicated to providing excellent service. The Middle Eastern food was the best I've enjoyed in Washington.
Best persian restaurant in WA state. Great customer service. We always enjoy coming here with family. You must try the Tahdig, it's really delicious!
I was super impressed by the prices given the quality of the food. Their Koobideh kebab tastes just as good as my dad's! Everything I ate was delicious and amazing. Atmosphere was a bit dark and I was cold because I was seated right by the door and there was a breeze every time the door opened. Free street parking and I didn't have trouble finding parking on a weekday evening.
Best arab food I've ever had, my go to is the lamb chops, and the saffron ice cream. We love that stuff, we have to get at least two bowls of ice cream every time we go.
m y r e c c o m m e n d a t i o n s Shirin Polo Plate - long grain basmati rice mixed with grated cherries, slivered almonds, and raisins. Served with dolmeh (3), green salad, and hummus. w h a t d i d I t r y ? * Shirin Polo Plate: 5/5 They give you flatbread, salted butter, raw onions, and Thai basil as an on-the-house appetizer. The bread is simple but yummy. I have to stop myself from eating it all before the main course. Onto the main course: the Shirin Polo Plate. I love a vegetarian dish that is packed with cards, veggies, protein most importantly, flavor! This is one of the best dishes I've ever had. I love the blend of sweet and savory, and soft and crunchy. Everything about this dish is so yummy. I am salivating writing this review. p r i c e: 5/5 The plate is huge and it costs $18. I could split this dish in half and have two meals. s e r v i c e: 5/5 The servers are so nice! On a particularly busy evening, the server was running around the restaurant. My party finished eating and was ready for the check. Despite being busy tending to 3 other tables with large parties, they could still let us know they'd be with us shortly, and they were. When they got to our table, they apologized for the delay. I could tell they were sincere. a t m o s p h e r e: 3/5 It is a bit dark in here and I don't remember there being much light. They have Farsi music in the background. I love it when places play music to immerse you in the culture. p a r k i n g: 4/5 Thank goodness there is free 2-hour parking. I've usually found parking here, which is rare in Seattle r a t i n g b r e a k d o w n 1: never ever again... 2: not very good, but at least something went right 3: average. 4: yummy, but something was lacking 5: everything was perfect! I HAVE TO GO AGAIN
